CONDUCTING HIGHER EDUCATION ABROAD

Most of the top ranked university students of Bangladesh, specially engineering students have the dream to conduct research and get the M.Sc or PhD degree from outside world. Actually Bangladeshi students have a huge demand in USA, Europe, Far East, Middle East and Australia. So, Bangladeshi students have great opportunities to get a challenging life. Every year lots of engineers, scientists, agriculturists go abroad for higher education. But for this they have to maintain a procedure and also need some luck.

Procedure to study abroad
First of all the student have to choose the country and scholarship type. The common type of scholarship is RA (research assistantship) and TA (teaching assistantship). The preliminary requirement of the scholarships is good academic record and good IELTS or TOEFL and GRE or GMAT scores. Next step is to manage a research supervisor. For this you have to apply to the faculty members of universities by E-mail. The email should have required information and a CV attached. You can send the email by your format, but certain basics should be maintained like, the brief information about you and your education, your motivation etc. The CV should have detailed about your subject matter, language skills, publications, related job description etc. It should be stated that, the teacher will decide whether he/she read the email or delete it. So, there need a bit of luck. Sometimes an email proved successful, and sometimes a thousand emails proved in vain. If a faculty member is managed, he/she will help you to do the rest.

This is a general step of going for a scholarship. Certain scholarship has own system. For Erus Mus Mun Dus, the student should to the host university. For DAAD scholarship, you have to apply through German Cultural Center. Actually first of all you need strong mindset and good planning. It needs a bit of luck, so, failure is a common. Nobody should stop trying even after a long time. A good overseas degree would make a good shape of the carrier and the knowledge from them could be a boost for our nation.
